About Dr. Evans & Staff


Dr. Laurie Evans is a board-certified General Surgeon specializing in problems of the breast. She has keen interests and dedicated training related to diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer.

Her focus on comprehensive evaluation and a wide array of diagnostic and surgical techniques makes treatment decisions more reassuring. Dr Evans is compassionate and insists on patient education to ensure all available treatment options are understood. She is the Medical Director of the Tri Cities Breast Program bringing state of the art expertise to southeast Washington.


She has been in private practice since 2000 private practice and has done additional training in breast ultrasound (earning certification) and minimally invasive surgical techniques. Dr. Evans is a member in good standing of several professional organizations including fellowship in the American College of Surgeons, the American Society of Breast Disease and a member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons since 1995.

Dr. Evans is also a participant of the Mastery of Breast Program as an ongoing effort to maintain certification with the American Board of Surgery. Dr Evans office has recently been designated a National Center of Excellence for providing quality accelerated breast irradiation therapy, APBI.


Born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri, Dr. Evans earned her medical degree at the University of Missouri in Columbia. She completed her surgical residency in Kansas City, Missouri, and started a general surgical practice in Pasco, Washington in 1994.


She enjoys cycling, kayaking, gardening, boating and fishing. She also loves to make jewelry and enjoys spending time with her canine companions along the banks of the Columbia River.

I have worked with Dr. Evans for almost nine years. I have been a nurse for over 25 years taking some time off to raise my two children. I have been married for 26 years to the love of my life.

I enjoy being out on the river and do so every chance I get. We love fishing for Bass, Steelhead, and Salmon.  I also enjoy sewing and scrapbooking.
